MESSAGES FROM FRIENDS AND ALUMS | PHOTO GALLERY | REUNION SIGN-UP

WHAT A PARTY!

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the reunion such an incredible success. We hope to keep this page going in some capacity and try to maintain our reunion mojo on an ongoing basis. We'll keep you apprised of any future developments with the RIP JWT site. For now, please go to the photo gallery page and take a look at pictures from the big event. You can also see instructions on how to share your pictures from the night at that page as well. Please also feel free to add any thoughts or memories from the night in the comments section below as well.

Thanks again and stay tuned for more info.

Am now back in Vermont having had a great time Friday night.

So once again, my thanks to everyone on the Committee who worked so hard to put the event together - just one more example of a very good JWT Chicago idea, wonderfully executed.

I also want to thanks all of you who came up and said hello, rekindling many memories long ago burried somewhere in my atrophied gourd.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have had a shared experience with so many of you during a four year stretch I will always fondly remember.

You werre a special group then. You remain a very special group now.

To all who planned and executed the JWT party last Friday evening....thank you for a fantastic event! I think everyone who attended had the same reaction throughout the party..."this is incredible...this is unbelieveable,etc.". Every time I turned around I saw someone else I wanted to see from one of the most memorable times of my life. Thank you all for making this evening possible.

After realizing how many marriages were results of JWT (no jokes about divorces and affairs), I thought it might be interesting to total up the number of 'grandchild' the Commodore has. He's got three beautiful Grand daughters' from my union with fellow JWT'r Leslie Donnelly. Anybody else want to add to that list?

A hearty and sincere "thank you" to the committee for creating this event. It was an evening of unforgettable memories and conversations that passed all too quickly. It was great to see the faces and hear the stories of those I knew and worked with. Those moments were priceless. Let the conversations continue and the spirit of a place that will never be equaled persist. Thanks to all who came.

P.S. Last weekend reminded me of just how fortunate I was to have worked with such a group of bright and truly talented people.

This event was overwhelming from the moment I walked into the front door when Dinny gave me a HUGE hug to when I called it a night. I looked up to the sky and saw the JWT logo illuminated and thought..... three simple letters that symbolize so much.

Thank you to Kal and the committee for pulling off such an awesome event. It was like super speed dating. So many people, so little time...

The night was filled with laughter, tears and chatter. I LOVED it ALL! It was so much fun and I was sad when the evening came to an end.

A BIG thank you to Burt Manning who came. I'll be so bold to say that if you were still running the show, this event would not have been necessary.

So, who's planning the next one?

What can I say but the people that put this whole thing together did an incredibly awesome job. I was at J. Walter Thompson (JWT) Wally World for half my life (24 years). I had the best times of my life at J. Walter and have acquired some live long friendships. I do not think I have ever had more hugs in my life then at the JWT reuion.

I now work for a non-for-profit organization called WINGS Program, Inc. It stands for "Women In Need Growing Stronger." We help women in need of homelessness and domestic violence and there children.

This Saturday,September 19th is Wings "Purple Tie Ball" from 6:00 P.M. until 12:00 p.m.

Renaissance Hotel - Schamburg
$200.00 - Ticket

Please come out and support the end of domestic violence!

Thanks!

A belated, but most sincere, thank you to all who organized this great event. It was truly wonderful seeing so many former colleagues again and, once again,I was reminded that after 16 years with JWT, in my final four with JWT Chicago...I worked with the very best.

Thanks again.

Wish we had known about the reunion in time. My parents met and married while working at JWT in the Wrigley Bldg.Dad worked for JWT from 1948-1980.I have many fond childhood memories of Wrigley & the 28th floor. My sister & I grew up on Aunt Jemima and 7-Up and our dog ate Ken-L-Ration. My wonderful dad was John Wallington.
Many names have been listed in the blogs: Burt Manning,Bob Jones,Ralph Rydholm,Mary Pat Hutton,Bob Taylor,Tony Moon,Bob Ebel,Bill Lyman,Pat O'Hara,Bill Ross,Fred Stenger,Art Lunn,Tom DeMint, Marion Howington - just a few of the talentd people dad had the privilege of working with. If anyone reading this knew him or can contact those who did, our mom(Skip) would love to hear from you at lawallington@yahoo.com.
With much fondness,
Laurie Wallington

Hello JWTers!

I am so fortunate to have found this website...I just wish I found it sooner and had the opportunity to attend the recent reunion. Should there ever be another, I would greatly appreciate being added to the list!!

Not to get too sentimental here, but my 6 years ('84- '89)at JWT still remain the BEST years of my life. The experiences were unforgettable, and it was all attributed to the great people who were there. Scanning through this website, as well as the reunion pics really bring back a lot of great memories. While I haven't seen or spoken to many of you since my time at JWT, seeing everyone in those pictues makes it seem like we were all together yesterday. What a great place it was to work, and I will always remember everyone!! Thanks to everyone who put together the website and the reunion. While the industry has certainly changed, it's a great way to keep all the memories alive! Thanks again for everyone's effort, and please keep me in mind for the next get together!

You guys always did have great parties! I was thrilled to come across this site and be able to post my thanks to JWT - as my first big agency job it taught me many things, and provided laughter and lasting friendships along the way. I wonder if Patrick is still chasing clients on the golf course for approvals on proofs!
